I liked this series enough to read them back to back from start to finish and perhaps I was just burning out on them by the time I got to this one, but it just didn't catch me the way some of the other titles in the series. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I had broken up the series because most of the series I really liked. I also wonder if maybe we had gotten to know the drummer at all beyond the stereotypical sex, drugs and rock 'n roll character through the other books in the series in the peripheral role he played, I might have been a little more interested in this series installment dedicated to him. Not to go into spoiler area, but if you've read the rest of the series it is no surprise that he does eventually fall in love and the romance prompts him to get himself together ( by the way, his girl is an absolute doll) but it stands as my least favorite of the series. After Action/Thriller/Mystery genres, the rock star romance is a favorite, if a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, and overall the series was a fun escape into that (sub)genre.Product details

The last of the boys fall in love but their future hangs in the balance. Will they quit or carry on? Either way they are happy. The music is part of their lives so I believe that whether they stay on top of the music works the bonds they share are too strong to break.
I like that in the last book of the series, Rick finally seemed to pull his head out of his butt and realize just how bad he had messed up, time and time again! I would of liked a little more written about each of the relationships, but, enjoyed the story very much!
Last story about Chasing Cross series. RICK walks away not really knowing what was missing in his life but just lost. He forms a rag tag garage band when he pulls himself out of his solo partying Hell. RICK buys a house, for the garage, and Molly introduces him to Sarah. Rock's life turns around for best yet.
All I can say is wow!!! I love this series of Brothers of Rock, I feel in love with Chasing Cross I loved all their stories but the last book was the best in my opinion. Karolyn James did an excellent job ending one band & introducing the next. I just loved what Chasing Cross did at the end of the book, if you want know what I'm talking about get series & find out it brought tears to my eyes. Now on to the next band of the series Fallen Tuesday!!
The end of this 5 book series was well worth my time. To me this series got better and better as the books made their way through the band members' lives.
This final book about the drummer of the band could have been a little more developed on the part of his love interest. I felt like she had a story to tell. It felt a little rushed. Overall though, the story was interesting and left me feeling satisfied with the end of the series.
What can I say Karolyn James has done it again. This is the fifth book in the Chasing Cross series. This story is about Rick the drummer of Chasing Cross who has come to a cross roads in his life. The story is heart warming from the get go. Love how Rick deals with all his feelings about life and his bandmates and his new neighbor Sarah. This is such a fantastic read if you haven't read this series I encourage you to do so you will not be disappointed. But there is more to come in the Brothers of Rock series and I'm sure will be awesome as well.
This series has it all... Very well written and great stories of each band members lives... this book is a great as the all the other 4. definitely worth buying all 5 at the same time,,,, great stories...love, romance, brotherhood, and I got the first book in a big boxed set with various artist for 99 cents, then stopped after the first and order the other 4. so glad I did... then went on to the next book in the boxed set.... some are stand alone , some you can order the rest, but it introduced me to authors I have not heard of before and now I have lots of faves....Karolyn James is one to add to your must read books... will order her other series about the band that toured with chasing cross..... She is an author to look out for as she writes well and stories are great, not all sex on every page, but a great love stories and how they found their loves.... fantastic series.... you will not be let down or wondering wtf at the end....
