“You,” he pointed at me over the rim of his glass, “have a very smart mouth. Everything Shannon told me about you was a lie.”
“She told you about me?” I don’t know why this surprised me and I wasn’t sure whether I liked that he had secret knowledge of me or if I was angry at Shannon for telling him anything.
“My sister isn’t very good at making close friends. None of us are, if you can’t tell. The Silvers don’t want to be equal with anyone; they just want to be seen by everyone. There’s an important difference.”
“You’re the only one who has treated me that way.” I sounded braver than I felt. My stomach twisted itself up. “You do not have a very good opinion of your family’s money.”
“You are very nosy, little girl. What would you know about money?”
“Stop calling me that.”
My breathing was reacting again, light and quick, like I couldn’t get enough oxygen.
His voice lowered, dark and husky, and my body responded. It was the sound of the ocean, being alone out here with this man who clearly wanted to forget a lot of things, who I understood in a way he couldn’t know about, but I liked the way his voice made me feel. I liked his attention, even as antagonistic as it was. It was better than sitting in my bed alone thinking about the past.
“What would you like me to call you then, little girl?”
“Most people call me Jessica. You could start there.”
“I don’t think so.” He took another drink and when I glanced at him, surprised at his answer, I saw something new in the intensity of his eyes. Be bold, Jessica, I thought, and reached for his glass. He let me take it and our fingers brushed, the first intentional contact I’d made with anyone today. He didn’t startle like I would have, but his eyes opened a fraction and I thought I could detect a change in his breathing, too.
He reached for my face, settled his fingertips against my hairline and stroked his thumb along the contour of my cheek. I pulled away automatically, but his fingertips tugged at my jawline, held me in his thrall.
“I’ve had a very bad night.” His thumb trailed to my lips and traced them, first the top then the bottom. “Open,” he commanded. Be brave, Jessica, and I parted my lips just enough. “Perhaps you could help improve it.”

Jordan Bell, what a surprise and yet I'm not. Was totally taken back to the awkward teenage years when girls realize they are not perfect. Wishing and wanting to be but not reaching the expectations. This has to be one of the best books I have read and at times I wanted to throttle the hero of the story. Gave the book 5 stars for the "empowerment" factor, to be able to break free and realize you were perfect along! Jessica Lewis, curvy, shy and sweet. When her best friends asks her to come along on a two week family getaway, she accepts knowing when she comes back she has her own realities to accept. What she never expected was her best friends older brother. Can she tamp down her insecurities to enjoy a little shake and tickle. One chance encounter is all it takes. Jonah, handsome,sexy and successful..what he never counted on was his little sister's best friend or that simmer desire underneath all those curves. Seduction was never part of the plan and only one encounter and he is just burning for Jessica. What's more is his parents are protective of Jessica, the shy sweet girl has never been embraced by a family til NOW. What happens when everyone roundabout about the unlikely twosome? The heart wants what it wants! Jordan Bell is a weaver of stories and has me hooked on love! A must read for hopeless romantics!Product details

Distracting the Billionaire Son edition by Jordan Bell Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I was immediately drawn into the book when I started reading it. Jess and Jonah, two individuals who do not seem a likely couple at first connect and offer each other the support and 'family' each other craves. There are also some really hot sex scenes.
I felt really bad for Jonah throughout the whole book at the way his father treated him. Jess' family situation didn't fare any better. The vulnerability, the hurt and the need in these two was what brought them together.
It was a short read, but I would definitely recommend it.
I received this as an ARC for a honest review in a box set called Alphas Prefer Curves A Curvy Girl Romance BBW Anthology (Volume One) I will attempt not to post any spoilers but there is always the chance!
Now, this is a interesting book that is super fast paced and hot as all get out! It is perfect for a quickie, not very long and very light hearted while this BBW girl deals with scars over the front of her. It is interesting that its not her weight she is hiding but the scars.
The author did a great job of showing the feelings each person in this book was feeling, from the fathers to the children and well everyone! I highly enjoyed this book!
This was not one of my favorites by Jordan Bell but held my attention. The end wrapped up way too quick for my taste.
I loved this book! The only thing I would want is MORE... As in for the story to have been longer. Enjoyed every minute of this book!
I was given a copy of this book as an ARC to read and LOVED it, fell in lust with a certain Billionaire's son and couldn't put it down once I started reading...yum, yum, yum!
This book was not what I expected and while reading it I kept waiting for something that would make me not like it. That never happened, I loved this book. It ended the way I wish real life would and I have read it multiple times since.
The best way I can think to describe it is like an 'adult' book mixed with a one of the old teen romance novels.
This book delights, sizzles, steams, and makes the reader want to turn the page! Oh Yeah! Jonah is fine, hot, and makes the shero feel like a wanton sexed out toy- just what a reader needs for a diversion from a hectic, rough week. I enjoyed the read and was dissappointed when it was finished. Great plot, good development, sensational secondary characters, and a little humor and wit mixed in. Hoping to find more by this author. Read on!
